January Newsletter

Happy New Year! While I have enjoyed the break, I am definitely ready to get back into a routine. I hope you are, too.

Important Reminders

  • Recess Time: We will continue to go outside as much as possible during recess. Please make sure you send hats, gloves, mittens, and anything else your child may need to stay warm. During the winter, there is very little sun on the playground, so little hands and ears get cold quickly!

  • Inclement Weather Policy: Please remember that we follow the Williamson County School System for school closings. If WCS are closed, we are closed. If the school system opens 1 hour late, we open 1 hour late, or at 10:30, with pick up remaining at 2:30. If the school system opens 2 hours late, we open 2 hours late, or at 11:30, with pick remaining at 2:30. Additionally, if WCS close early, we will close early, as several preschool teachers also have children in the school system and will need to pick them up. You will receive an email from the preschool, as well as a Brightwheel message, should we need to close. We will send this information as soon as we receive notification from Williamson County Schools.

  • Structured PE: We will again offer Structured PE this winter for those in Paula, Jennifer and Robyn’s classes. This will occur during part of their recess period. In the past, Maureen Sharp has led this class for us. This winter, she will be busy loving on her new baby daughter, Cecilia Kathryn. We are fortunate that her colleague Katie Crockett will take over the reins this year. This activity will begin on Wednesday, January 7, and will run through the week before Spring Break. As in years past, Katie will spend 30 minutes working on gross motor and physical education activities with Paula and Jennifer’s classes; then she will spend 30 minutes with Robyn’s class.

  • Registration for Fall 2026 Registration information will be sent via Brightwheel on Tuesday, January 20. Current students and siblings will need to register and pay the $75 per child fee by Wednesday, January 28. If you currently have a child enrolled and will be enrolling a sibling for next year who is not currently attending Bethlehem, please let me know so I can create an account for the sibling in Brightwheel; we will then send registration forms for both children. I will create an invoice in Brightwheel for your registration payment. If your child will graduate in May, I will not send an invoice. Additionally, if you will not be sending your child to Bethlehem in the fall, please let me know and I will not create that invoice in your child’saccount. Community registration will open on Thursday, January 29. Please spread the word if family or friends are looking for a new preschool.

  • Year-End Income Tax Documentation If you need documentation of tuition payments for income tax purposes, you are able to access your own information through the Brightwheel system. To do this, you will need to log into your Brightwheel account on the web or mobile app. Then proceed as follows:

    1. Click on the Payments (or Billing) sections and select your child’s name. If you have more than one child enrolled, choose the younger child’s account.

    2. Go to the Statements tab;

    3. Locate “Family 2025 payer tax statement”

    4. Select Export to download the statement immediately or send it to your email address as a PDF.

If there is an issue, please contact me and I can provide you with your tax information.

We are looking forward to getting back into the swing of things on Tuesday, January 6.

Kim
